Twilight
The Anne Rice of the teen set, Stephenie Meyer writes mega-selling vampire love stories that kids dream into movies while they read them. But they'll still see the film version, and their parents' condemnation or condescension will only stoke their Meyer movie ardor. (Hint to Mom and Dad: feign lack of interest. That sometimes works.) Kristen Stewart (Zathura) as the innocent whose young blood attracts the Dracula-esque Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter films). Catherine Hardwicke, who did Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown, seems the right director for a story about a special girl with condition that's hard to explain. After all, her last movie was The Nativity Story.
