Top 10 Dog Movies
In honor of the latest hound flick to grace the holiday silver screen Marley & Me, based on the bestselling memoir by John Grogan, opens Christmas Day TIME takes a look back at film history's most memorable dog adventures
Essentially a live action pet calendar, this is arguably the cutest movie ever made. Blame Japan. The tale of an orange tabby cat and her best friend, a pug, was originally a Japanese feature. The American version, which featured a new voiceover by Dudley Moore, saw Milo and Otis help each other get out of sticky situations and frolick in the great outdoors. You get the idea. Totally ripe for a remake starring Ashton Kutcher and Tara Reid.
