Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, especially when it comes to Halloween masks. The sale of presidential candidates' Halloween masks has directly corresponded to the electoral outcome ever since Ronald Reagan's rubber likeness oursold Jimmy Carter's in 1988. In 2000 Buycostumes.com caught on to the trend and began publicizing its sales of masks, keeping a running tally between candidates.

If you widen the field beyond current candidates, however, Richard Nixon would have enjoyed a spectacular comeback. Most stores cite Tricky Dick masks as their most popular sellers.
