Top 10 Black Friday Gifts
This year, you didn't have to wait until Black Friday to get the best deals on popular presents. Gifts ranging from video games to toys to Blu-Ray disc players have been showing up on sale for weeks now as retailers grapple with a massive pullback in consumer spending. TIME looks at this year's most wanted presents.
Video Games
The most popular gifts for gamer kids and adults this Christmas season: Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2. An October survey conducted by EBay and Opinion Research Corporation found that of the people who said they want a gaming system for the holidays 44% want a Nintendo system (with 43% favoring a Wii) compared to only 33% who hoped for a Sony (with 31% liking PlayStation 3). One in four women who like games and accessories want a Wii Fit under the tree to help them shed excess holiday pounds. Of gamers, 14% favor Guitar Hero to the 8% who like Rock Band 2.
