Top 10 Motown Performances
Fifty years after the founding of the iconic record label, TIME takes a look at some of the best Motown performances to be found
Teen Town was a short-lived Detroit-area-based musical variety show from the mid-60s. Most of the acts featured were Motown ones, such as The Marvelettes, whose song "Please Mr. Postman" was the label's first record to hit #1 on the charts. It's also one of our top five Motown songs of all time.
