The joke has held for years that winning a Best New Artist Grammy is the kiss of death. Not necessarily true, though in the case of Milli Vanilli, it pretty much was. Seen above at the 1990 Grammy Awards, allegedly "singing" and "dancing," the duo were revealed later that year to have lip-synched their hit song "Girl You Know It's True." They ultimately confessed to lip-syncing the entire album, an admission which led to the revocation of their Grammy.
