/Film (pronounced Slashfilm) was launched in 2005 as an alternative movie news and review blog, a kind of online bridge between the reel world and the real world. Sample /Film post: Kung Fu Panda is an awesome movie, no question about it. But the story is essentially a paired down version of Star Wars, the supporting voice acting is passable at best, and some of the character designs are just sloppy.
