PRO: Although you wouldn't guess it from American Apparel's defiantly pervy ads — lots of mischievous models, very little actual clothing — Charney's hipster-baiting company is the biggest threads manufacturer in the country.

CON: He's constantly fending off legal threats, from U.S. immigration (for his hiring of illegal immigrants) to former employees (for alleged sexual harassment).
