The 2009 TIME 100 Finalists
Cast your votes for the leaders, artists, entrepreneurs and thinkers who deserve a spot on this year's TIME 100. By Brian Raftery
AGE: 61
OCCUPATION: U.S. Secretary of State
PREVIOUS APPEARANCES ON THE TIME 100: 4
PRO: It may not have been her first choice, but Clinton's new gig seems perfectly suited to her clear-eyed pragmatism and her globally tested schmoozability. And when it comes to dissentious places like Russia, Iran and Iraq (and North Korea and the Middle East ...) those skills will certainly be tested.
CON: Her campaign was plagued by infighting; can she keep such distractions out of Foggy Bottom?
