PRO: With the aid of a prop flute, an oversize wig and some flattened vowels — she already had the glasses and cheekbones — Fey became Palin, delivering Saturday Night Live its highest ratings in years. She also fared well at her day job on 30 Rock, earning a Golden Globe, a SAG award and a Pacific Rim Emmy.

CON: They might help the ratings, but 30 Rock's guest-star turns no longer feel very special.
