PRO: The events-promotion behemoth is expanding its empire, signing U2, Jay-Z and Madonna to million-dollar recording and licensing deals. And it recently announced a merger with Ticketmaster that could create an all-purpose music-industry monarchy or a monopoly.
CON: As payback for both companies' tacked-on extra fees, all Live Nation and Ticketmaster employees reading this sentence must now pay a $10 convenience charge.
