PRO: The son of longtime Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is widely believed to be the front runner to replace his father. He used a recent U.S. visit to push for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to repair lukewarm relations between Egypt and the U.S.

CON: The country's human-rights violations are troubling. Plus, nepotism is hardly an ideal way to select a government.
