Top 10 Comeback Tours
In honor of Michael Jackson's surprise return to the stage, TIME looks back at some of music's biggest reunions, comebacks and career resurrections
A Barbra Streisand concert ain't cheap. Tickets to see the legendary songstress can sell for as much as $750 a pop and there are more than a few fans willing to pay the price. In February 2008, Forbes Magazine listed Streisand as the #2 top-earning female musician. During a 2006 15-city tour, several rabid fans reportedly shelled out $12,500 for exclusive access, which included a group photo and four autographed souvenirs. But that same year one angry groupie nearly sued Streisand, who had first quit touring in 1999, after paying a fortune to see her "farewell" tour in 2000, only to find out that it was far from her final performance. There's always the next one.
