"You're likable enough, Hillary. No doubt about it." — Barack Obama, responding to a question in an ABC News Democratic primary debate about Hillary Clinton's weak public perception.
Obama's remark came after Clinton joked about the question first, saying, "Well that hurts my feelings, but I'll try to go on. He's very likable. I'll agree with that." The remark added to a growing perception about Obama as being somewhat arrogant.
