Madrid International Convention Centre
Madrid; Mansilla + tuñón + Peralta Arquitectos
Conceived as a sun rising over Madrid, the convention center, scheduled to be completed in 2012, cuts a striking silhouette against the city's skyline. Covered in a beehive pattern of approximately 21,000 hexagonal solar panels, the structure employs a rainwater-catchment system.
