Continues to be both a lightning rod and a power center. Occasionally finds herself the odd woman out when pushing policies to the left of those held by her Democratic colleagues on the Hill and at the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue. Sometimes gives off the sense that her focus is on the 2010 midterm elections rather than on Obama's big agenda items.
