Moore's career thus far has not suffered from an excess of musical seriousness. To her credit, she knows it, and on Amanda Leigh the new Mrs. Ryan Adams makes a play for cred with an impeccably recorded album of mature songs Moore co-wrote with ex-Candy Butcher Mike Viola. The vibe is decidedly Stevie Nicks-ish, but Moore's admiration for singers of the '70s doesn't overwhelm the emergence (finally) of her vocal personality.
