'Laodicean' and Other Spelling Bee Winning Words
Are you smarter than a fifth grader? 13-year-old Kavya Shivashankar won the annual Scripps National Spelling Bee, correctly spelling laodicean. Can you spell these winning words from previous years?
Definition: one that succeeds to the place of another
Winner: 13-year-old Sean Conley of Aitkin, Minn., who had finished in second place the previous year. Conley spent six years studying in preparation.
