The New Deal:
An array of projects and programs, including the Tennessee Valley Authority and the Bureau of Public Roads, led to the creation of bridges, highways and other improvements, like the Chickamauga Dam.

Today:
Federal stimulus dollars are being channeled to hundreds of shovel-ready construction projects across the U.S.
