Rose never fulfilled the potential he flashed as a stalwart of Michigan's Fab Five teams of the early 1990s. He shot too much. His defense was suspect. But to his credit, no other man in history has ever so audaciously rocked a pinstriped tomato-red suit, particularly one paired with a red tie knotted with a pair of tweezers. This achievement, at least, may never be equaled.
