For more than 175 years, C.F. Martin & Co. has been making acoustic guitars for rock stars and long-haired, sensitive guys in college dorm rooms alike. Paul Simon played one. Joan Baez played one. Eric Clapton played one. And now you can see where the instruments are made on a tour of the company's main factory in Nazareth. Look on as craftsmen turn planks of cedar and other wood into something on which you could pluck out a rudimentary rendition of "Stairway to Heaven." Tour: free
