25 Best Back-to-School Gadgets
Wait isn't it still summer? Technically, yes, but it's never too early to start prepping your arsenal of back-to-school gadgets for the fall. We've searched high and low for the perfect laptop, digital camera, cell phone and even toothbrush to make your academic year complete
Your parents don't want you to waste thousands of tuition dollars by sitting around playing games all day, right? Fair enough, but a portable gaming console makes for a great way to blow off steam. Sony is teeing up the latest version of its PlayStation Portable for Oct. 1: the PSP Go, a compact, 5.7-oz. (162 g) beauty with an enhanced 3.8-in. (10 cm) display, slide-out controls, 16 GB of flash memory, wi-fi and a growing arsenal of downloadable games from the online PlayStation Network. Can't wait until October? There's always the current PSP-3000, which is about an ounce heavier than the Go but at just $179, it's considerably cheaper, too.
Price: $249, available Oct. 1
