Top 10 Innocents Abroad
Former President Bill Clinton's retrieval of American journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee from North Korea captured the world's attention. But hordes of foreigners have gotten themselves into hot water overseas. TIME looks back at 10 memorable incidents
For once the media wasn't entirely consumed by what Michelle Obama was wearing or how buff her arms looked in that sleeveless dress. But you kinda wish they had been. When the Obamas journeyed to Europe for the Group of 20 summit in April, their visit with Queen Elizabeth II was, of course, met with great anticipation. But no one expected a brief physical encounter to cause international pandemonium. Michelle touched the Queen! (Or did the Queen make the first move?)
