Michael Jackson, the king of music video, never made a full-out concert film. This is it, or as close as the 50-year-old Gloved One will get, given his June 25 death by homicide. Kenny Ortega, director of all three High School Musicals and choreographer of the London concert series Jackson never got to give, is stitching together footage of the Staples Center rehearsals, including numbers Jackson performed the night before he died. Sony, the distributor, plans to put the compilation in theaters for just two weeks, but if the movie is pulled, MJ fans and fetishists may think it's gone too soon. They won't stop 'til they get enough — forever, on DVD. —Richard Corliss
