Singed they may be, but strands of pop icon Michael Jackson's hair — 12, to be exact — are a still a precious piece of the King of Pop. Less than four months after his death, the hair is set to go on sale at a hotel near Heathrow Airport in London on Oct. 17, 2009. Never mind that it's damaged from an infamous 1984 accident in which pyrotechnics set Jackson's locks on fire during the filming of a Pepsi commercial. The ad's executive producer, Ralph Cohen, used a jacket to extinguish the flames that sent Jackson to the hospital with serious burns. Cohen somehow managed to salvage the strands that fell onto the stage. The locks are expected to sell for well over $1,000.
