Look out, petroleum jelly! Getting it on is getting greener
Since a lot of hormones in contraceptives end up being excreted into the water supply, some environmentalists are promoting the chemical-free Fertility Awareness Method, which tracks a woman's temperature and cervical mucus to determine when she is ovulating. The Roman Catholic Church is touting a similar program, called natural family-planning, as not only morally correct but also "organic" and "green."
