The Top 10 Everything of 2009

Family road trips can be stressful under the best of circumstances. When you're taking your polygamist family on a cross-country pilgrimage to a Mormon shrine, your marriages are under strain, your daughter reveals that she's pregnant, and you have to stop along the way to pick up alcoholic Grandma's ashes, it becomes somewhat more stressful. (Also, you need several cars.) It was a great season for this sprawling drama, but this gorgeous episode focused tightly on the core family, their faith and the bonds that make them oddly functional even in the worst of times.
