10. Flutter
Slate V nails the archetype of the Internet entrepreneur: a Stanford dropout with hipster glasses and an asinine idea. Flutter is aimed at the demographic that doesn't have time for Twitter: there are only 26 characters, one for each letter of the alphabet. These "flaps" (like a hummingbird's wings, says the smug faux CEO) can even be updated automatically based on your location. Bringing the mundane details of your life online in a heartbeat would be so easy, if only the idea were real. For now, Twitter will have to suffice.
