Actress Lindsay Lohan has filed suit against E-Trade for naming a baby in one of its TV ads Lindsay. The lawsuit claims that Lohan is well known by her first name, so the depiction thereby constitutes illegal use of "her name and characterization"
In May 2009, American Express sued Courtney Love for more than $350,000 in charges and unpaid fees on her AmEx Gold card. Filed in U.S. District Court, the suit said Love's charging privileges had been suspended after the Hole singer and Kurt Cobain widow "failed and refused" to make payments. Love filed a countersuit in January 2010, claiming the charges were fraudulent, run up by crooks on a "massive" number of cards AmEx issued in her name without telling her.
