What do you get when you combine a Wisconsin Republican, folksy tunes, flannel and some good old-fashioned logrolling? Why, it's the lumberjackiest political ad of the season from former MTV reality star and timber-sport enthusiast Sean Duffy. "Washington's reckless spending is spinning [cue logrolling] our economy out of control," the young Republican says as a suited politician rolls a construction worker, child and elderly woman right into the lake. Though Duffy gets the last laugh in his commercial, Wisconsin Democrats were quick to circulate footage of him taking a rather nasty log-related tumble in real life. Whoever's spin ends up winning when Duffy takes on state legislator Julie Lassa in November, we can only hope there will be more ads like this one before then — knock on wood.
