Guitar god Jeff Beck slices his own carrots. How do we know? Because last fall, the British rocker sliced off the tip of his left index finger doing so. "Oh, dear, that's the end of me," he's quoted as saying at the time. But it wasn't, of course. Following some stitches and a seven-week hiatus from playing music, Beck went back into the studio to finish a new album, Emotion & Commotion. And he decided his fingers were too important to leave uninsured, so he took out a $1 million policy — on each finger.
