100 All-Time Gadgets

What could be worse than ruining what you thought would be that "Kodak moment"? In the early '60s Kodak recognized a need to make film loading as easy as possible, so every moment — whether it turned out great or not — could be captured for posterity. Thus the birth of the Instamatic 100 and its many imitators. A new kind of film that was packed into a plastic cartridge could easily be popped into the camera, eliminating — or at least reducing — user error.
