8. Katy Perry Barred From Sesame Street
You'd think somebody whose parents were preachers wouldn't have a problem with the G-rated audience of Sesame Street. But you'd be wrong. Katy Perry, whose reputation for sexual showmanship preceded her, caused a kerfuffle on the kids' show when she did an Elmo-ized version of her hit song, "Hot 'N Cold." The clip, which aired on YouTube, was never broadcast on the show due to parental outcry. The problem was not the song, but the cut of Perry's dress, which, while it may be the chastest thing Perry ever wears, was deemed too racy for the kids' show.
