Top 10 Topical Sesame Street Characters
In a nod to the American recession, the children's television show will feature a character that doesn't have enough food. Here, TIME takes a look at the other puppet personalities who've tackled tough issues for kids
Sibling Rivals: Curly and Baby Bear
Leave it to Sesame Street to create the most adorable sibling rivalry ever. When Curly Bear was "born" into the Bear family in 2003, she ruffled the fur of her older brother Baby Bear, who had to quickly adjust to not being the baby anymore. As Curly grew up, we find out that she is the only bear in the family who dislikes porridge, and she can also growl much louder than Baby Bear, which provokes their sibling quarrel even more. But while Baby Bear is not exactly fond of sharing the attention with his sister, Curly Bear couldn't be more smitten with Baby. She calls him "Bebo" and wants to do everything that he does. Just like anyone's little sister, but furrier.
