10. Dr. Feelgood on Trial
LOS ANGELES This was a year of high-profile trials, including that of Dr. Conrad Murray. Murray was accused of causing Michael Jackson's death in 2009 and was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in November. Protesters remained outside the courthouse during the proceedings, and most fans of the star yearned for answers. Involuntary manslaughter is the least severe homicide offense, but a possible four years in prison may prove nothing next to going down in history as the man who killed the King of Pop.
