Canon ZR70MC Camcorder

Fans of the previous ZR Mini DV camcorders will be happy to know that not only was the 70MC designed along the same smooth lines, but it too has those funky color light-up buttons that make Canon's camcorders trendy. More importantly, the 70MC has a much-improved Super Night Mode with "assist lamp" for low-light work, plus an outrageous 22x optical zoom lens — that's about twice the optical zoom power of the competition. A new Motion-JPEG mode lets you shoot brief e-mail-friendly mini-clips straight to SD or MMC flash-memory card, which you can later transfer to the computer via the USB jack.
