The fifth generation of Pioneer's recorder line, the DVR-A05 is sold mainly as an internal drive (with an ATAPI connection, in case you're wondering). However, many third-party hardware companies use it as the core of a USB 2.0 and/or FireWire external recorder, often branded DVR-105. It records DVD-R and DVD-RW discs, plus CD-R and CD-RW.
