WESTINGHOUSE CONNECTED MICROWAVE
The Beyond Westinghouse microwave, which hits the market this month, comes pre-programmed with 4,000 different sets of cooking instructions, each one matched to a packaged product. Use the scanning wand to swipe the UPC code on the box and the oven will recognize the item and set itself. Buy the Beyond Home Hub, also just out this month, and you can download new barcode recipes from a database of 20,000 using your PC's browser; the Hub, which looks a little like a boom box, retrieves that new info and feeds it to the microwave over regular power lines.
