The Toshiba Portégé M200 (from $2,300), bottom left, above, doubles as tablet and desktop PC, while Gateway's 610 (from $1,500) with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004, bottom right, above, allows you to record TV shows, burn DVDs and manage musicall from the couch.
