ThinkGeek USB Mini Lava Lite
How much? $10

THINKGEEK

The USB mini lava light, available at ThinkGeek for $10, plugs into any USB port to cast a twinkly, glittery glow over your workspace. ThinkGeek stocks plenty of other goodies to help keep dorm life interesting, like the Marshmallow Shooter, $25, which can launch miniature-sized confections up to 30 feet. The plastic air-pump assemblage comes fully loaded with red foam pellets, though you're not supposed to eat this ammo. Bags of 250 mini marshmallows (give or take a few) are sold separately for $2.50 each.

On a more practical note, ThinkGeek also stocks the Deluxe Mini Fridge-Warmer, a $120 appliance big enough to store 10 2-liter bottles of Coke. A digital LCD screen indicates the current temperature as it works to get to your pre-selected setting, which can range from as low as 44 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
