TIRES RECALLED BY FIRESTONE:

All Firestone ATX and ATX II tires size P235/75R15 are being recalled. In addition, all Firestone Wilderness AT tires in the P235/75R15 size that were built at the Decatur, Illinois tire plant are also included. The tire sizes can be found on the sidewall of your tire. To determine whether you have a Wilderness AT tire manufactured at the Decatur plant, look for the DOT code. The DOT code is 10 characters long, located on the blackwall side of the tire under the F in Firestone. If the code begins with the letters VD, your tire was made in Decatur.

Firestone estimates that there are some 6.5 tires covered in this recall still on the road. These tires were standard equipment on the following models (NOTE: This does not necessarily mean this vehicle has this tire; check to see if the tire is an ATX or ATX II size P235/75R15):

In addition, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is recommending that owners of the following models and sizes of Firestone tires not being recalled also carefully examine their tires:

* Firestone's lists this model as a LTP235/75R15.
** Only some of the listed models had these tires installed as original equipment
