CARS
Pixar's latest is among the computer-animation studio's best: the story of a full-of-itself race car named Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) who's forced to set down roots in Radiator Springs, a run-down jalopy town full of rural eccentrics like the rube tow truck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy). The movie moves at two speeds: turbo-funny in the first half-hour, then scenic-route. Not to stomp on Happy Feet or anything, but director John Lasseter, who virtually invented CGI movie wit, still can't be topped. The fun is high-octane in this, the most stylish car-toon ever.
