Washington: Finding the Perfect Souvenir
Presidential Swag
Any tchotchke embossed with the Seal of the President of the United States is sure to impress your co-workers back home, especially if you use it casually like as a door stop. The problem is, the official seal is allowed to be affixed only to actual Presidential trinkets like Air Force One or plates from the presidential china set all of which require a lot of work (or campaign contributions) to get close to. But let's face it: Your co-workers don't know what the seal looks like. So stop in any large gift shop (there are a couple big ones across from Ford's Theater on 10th Street NW, between E and F streets) and pick up a mug emblazoned with a seal that looks a lot like the real thing. Then use it to hold your toothbrush.
