Ten years from now, Israel will live side-by-side with its neighbors in peace and security. The Negev and adjacent deserts will blossom — an example to every developing nation.

Twenty years from now, a highway and high-speed rail link will connect Cairo with Jerusalem and Damascus. Gigantic desalination plants will provide plenty of fresh water to all.

Thirty years from now, Israel will be respected in the family of nations, no longer singled out for discrimination in the international community.

Forty years from now, the borders between all Middle Eastern countries will be open to travel, trade, education and culture. A common market, based on the European model, will raise the standard of living for all, and the region will become a major high-tech hub.

Fifty years from now, the countries of the Middle East will jointly host the Olympic Games, and the Iranian women's soccer team will win the final.

Sixty years from now, history students will look back at 2008 and wonder why it took so long.
