Few things can upstage Michael Jordan, but His Airness had to wait for the bombing of Afghanistan to cede some spotlight before announcing his long-anticipated NBA comeback — at age 39 — with the Washington Wizards. Neither Jordan nor his team has lived up to the oft-giddy expectations that preceded the season, but with Jordan, as ever, it has been hard not to look.
